VLADOMÍR ČECH (1963)
Vladomír Čech is a strange creature. As a genial creator has he an individual look at the world too, deviation in social behavior, and expression of his feelings and thoughts. In reality his name is Vladimír, but he subscribes Vladomír, so that men do not change his name with the famous Čech “from television”.
He emphasizes, that he was born in the year 2000 at Duchcov, where there lived his last 13 years and died the famous globe-trotter and women lover G. Casanova, but in reality in this year began master’s new creation period of time under the name “Vladomír Čech”. I have to remark, that the master has some of such periods of time, and after each he has his name. So at the period of time from the year 1988 to the year 1991 his name was Vladimír Čakka, and he created visual poetry and composed poems, which he painted on canvas, from the year 1991 to the year 1995 his name was Vladimír Uch, and he created two-dimension pictures with a three-dimension paintings, at the period of time from the year 1995 to the year 1999 his name was Vladimír Takový, and he created especially portraits of a classical style, and mostly tailor-made (at this period of time he married, and he had to nourish his family).
In the year 2000, as a new star is born on the sky, and as a quasar shines a strong shine of a bowl-shape to all different directions, so Vladomír also as if he became wiser, he got at the end a philosophical dot at which he stemmed and started to develop himself in all to this moment born directions of his creations, and in some more. He didn’t began to develop linearly, as the most of the artists, but by volume, in different directions and in different dimensions of his existence.
At this period of time was born “the blue wind” - the direction as much individual, that nobody can nor plagiarize it, which had it’s continuation in porcelain, despite of it that many experts alleged to be impossible, that a plastic discolored porcelain substance would hold on a flat plate. Of course it wouldn’t be Vladomír Čech himself, if he wouldn’t think out, how to hold this substance on a plate. And so he has know-how for a porcelain painting, which is in the world absolutely unique. We have in our exposition a sample of the first porcelain picture, on which actually a part of the painting unglued during the burning off, as the expert alleged. But the next ones had this failing no more.
At this period of time was born an interesting direction too, which the artist calls either at-home made "piskvorky" (panel play) or "a system of cosmic symmetry". A philosophical base to this direction, the main thought, is that every men is a part of a cosmic system, and has there his place and his task, which he must fulfill in his life. At the same time the man has the right of a biblical choice, and he can choose an other direction - a direction of not-fulfillment of his cosmic mission, the direction of a destructive creation and that means the direction of self-destruction too, for the law of cosmic symmetry will withdraw him or his descendants unconditionally out of the system like an eddy. And so a man can look at the world after his choice from different angles, like through the edges of a crystal, and so he in fact chooses his fate and his place in the system of cosmic symmetry. In a plastic creation the artist images these thoughts through partitioning of canvas into cubes or crystal shatters, with which he gives us the possibility to look at the world through them. In this style the master now creates huge pictures for the church of Annunciation of Virgin Mary at Duchcov, which was after a fire in the year 1945 almost destroyed, and was closed to public for almost 60 years. The artist together with his friends opened this church to public in the year 2005 and they are creating there a museum of the Holy Family. On these huge paintings (6 x 10 m) will be created the life pilgrimage of Mary-the mother, who grew up the personality of cosmic measure. These paintings will be created by a special technique, which until now nobody in the world used – silicon. In our exposition you have the possibility to see the first experiments with silicon, in its neighborhood with oil on canvas.
At the time period from the year 2000 there figures an another direction, which was for some time a hit between the arts near to the youth, and which had the task to create bridges of friendship between people by help of duo-pictures. Of course after the number of friends, who should be put together, there were created three-pictures, or four-pictures too, some of them we have in our exposition, and together with a manifest.
A next direction, which was born in this time period, and which we mustn’t forget, is the direction, which the artist called “a black square breeds light”. As the master looked on the famous creation made by Malevič “the black square”, so he wanted always more and more to make on it a light line, and so he made it and he observed thereat, that the black base shines through this color and changes it at times not to be recognised, withal gives a deepness without additional layers to it, which to the choleric temperament of the artist only wished. And so came into existence a whole collection of classic and modern pictures, which had one in common - a black base and a change of color under its influence. To be fair-minded, we must mention, that original thoughts and trials, to play with a black base, go till the year 1989, where we can see this trial on the picture “A conversation with Tician”. From the year 2000 formed these thoughts of course into a plastic philosophy.
Creating credo of every artist - creation in a positive direction - creates also a supranational philosophy about the necessity of a building-up in a positive direction, and for the own surviving of mankind. And so we are returning back to the main thought of the master - to the appeal to create in the positive direction in every moment of his existence and with those simple resources, which we have at our disposal, and that in all aspects of our life - not only in the plastic sphere.
And because the master is above all a plastic artist (even if he creates to taste stony or wooden statues), so he creates artistic works of anything. And so, as Leonardo da Vinci, the artist says too: give a mud to me, and I will paint a splendid work”. And that the painting with mud would be more comfortable, so he uses chocolate instead of mud. It is though brown, too.(MUSEUM OF CHOCOLATE PAINTING. PRAGUE)
It is curious, that in difference to other present artists, the master creates always in a positive direction. It is his credo. The artist always accentuates, that a man, in difference to an animal, looks like the Lord (nature, cosmos) through his ability to create, and it is important to create in a positive direction, otherwise it’ll come the end of earth-existence – for example the production of war-atomic-technologies.
As every able man the master is more sensitive for the world, and he can see and foresee, what others don’t apprehend. The master alleges, that after the commandment, originated during the time of biblical Moses, and after the commandment of love, which came into the world with Jesus (“love your fellows as yourself”), there is on the way the commandment of responsibility, which will append and complement the program of mankind-development. The law, love and responsibility in their connection will give to the mankind the possibility to exist safely and happily. By the way Vladomír Čech is a descendant of ancient Sumerians, and his mother can speak the language, by which help the scientists solved the Sumerian wedge shaped script. It is said, that the Semites (Jews) on the start of their civilization overtook the Bible from the Sumerians. May be, that such far-sighted philosophic thinking has the artist in his blood simply from his ancestors.
But we’ll begin our story fairly from the start - from the raw material, which was used as a mean to the expression of a praise – to chocolate.
Vladomír Čech is a member of an international artist union at UNESCO (with the residence in Paris), a member of international artist association in Dresden " Kunstbegegnung International Dresden e.V" .He is substituted at 1 national museum, at 1 sate museum and at 1 private museum in Czech Republic, at 3 state museums abroad, and at private collections in more than 20 countries in the world.
Until now he created about 500 graphics, more then 1000 pictures, and more then 7000 portraits.
